Godspeed NIn

Godspeed my fair cousin..you left this earth early yesterday.. early in the morning and WAY to early for us to understand... you will never read these words but my heart wants to write them anyway...we are so sad..but as I sit here today finally able to see thru my tears I write these words to say I loved you as so many people here on earth did but you are finally in no pain..no sorrow..you are with your parents and mine and with Ding and Nanny and with so many gone before you..tell them we still love them and will always..the song again comes to my mind..."If Tomorrow Never Comes"..we were the lucky ones Nin..we knew their heats and they knew ours..my brothers and sister as have yout brothers I am sure have been revising State Street in our minds the last few weeks...it was such a simpler time even if we had our doubts at the time living side by side..wonder how many familys could do that in todays time..if someone was going somewhere we wanted to go--we went along, if someone was cooking something we wanted to eat--we ate along, sorrows were shared and joys were tripled...four houses in a row..I remember the fish frys, the beach trips, church twice a day on sunday, dates when we were older, times with Ding and the sugarcane, Christmas Eves at Nanny and Dings, the Thanksgiving dinners and that dressing I can nver seem to replicate, the haircuts and braids, the weddings and the sadly the funerals. We will all gather tuesday to say our earthly final goodbyes BUT I know without a shadow of a doubt that we will all meet again to remember these things together. We are also the fortunate ones to have loved first our mothers and dads and grandparents and siblings and then two wonderful men that loved us to no limit.I remember our "advice sessions"..we lived with loving examples of husbands that would go the ends of the earth for us (and did)..they know our love.
I say again...Godspeed..you will always be in my prayers.
